SKOUT SHUTS DOWN TEEN DATING APP TO WORK ON SAFETY

EIE President Donna Rice Hughes spoke to the San Francisco Chronicle about the rapes that occurred as a result of minor's use of the teen dating app, Skout. Donna discussed the following in the interview:

  • Predators are always looking for new in-roads to kids through technology
  • Best Practices should be established by these App companies
  • Bad idea to turn an adult flirting & dating app into an app that minor children can use
